Francis Cooney is a fashion designer born and raised In New York City. Originally an illustration student he quickly began to discover his love of fashion design while studying at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan. With a passion for fashion history and innovative craftsmanship, Francis strives to create a visual narrative in his work that focuses on re-imagining classic silhouettes and design exploration through construction and experimental fabrication. Francis graduated Parsons School of Design in 2023 with a BFA in Fashion Design. Notably Francis’s work has been featured in Vogue, Hypebeast, Myth Magazine, and most recently King Kong Magazine. He’s collaborated with brands such as Rabanne, Balmain, and Chrome Hearts to create custom stage looks for music icon Cher. Working in design, production, and styling roles, Francis possesses a well rounded understanding of creative communication and cross functional collaboration.
